The Vocational Agriculture Teachers Association of Texas (VATAT) has a unique internship opportunity available to junior, senior or graduate-level students interested in communications and event planning.
Description:
This paid internship will focus on projects pertaining to the annual professional development conference for agriculture science teachers. Duties may include but are not limited to: exhibit show registration, tour/workshop registration, newsletter development, Web site maintenance, graphic design, writing press releases, database management, membership registration, and other duties as assigned.
Students interested in communications and other relevant majors are encouraged to apply. This is a very hands-on, project-based internship that requires attention to detail, customer service skills and professionalism.
Internship Period: January 2012 - May 2012

Hours: Full time position: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday
Wages: Paid internship
