Legislative Update
(updated 2/12/10 by Gerald Young)

At the SBEC meeting February 5, the board was to take up the issue of certifications for all courses including the CTE courses for science and math credit and other courses such as fine arts and speech communication. The SBEC staff took the agenda item down at the last minute.

The item was number seven; you can go to the SBEC Web site to look at the February 5 meeting agenda as well as view the recommendations. This item should be up for consideration at the April 9 meeting. To keep this issue on the original timeline they will take both first and second, which is the final, readings. If you have any questions please call the office.
