Texas FFA Foundation Intern Opportunity
The Texas FFA Foundation affords a unique internship opportunity for college students interested in serving prior to, and following, the annual Texas FFA Convention.  The internship provides students the chance to work with a local Host Committee as well as Texas FFA sponsors.

This paid internship will focus on planning and development activities associated with the annual convention. Duties may include but are not limited to:
• Working in the office of the host committee chairperson, members and committees
• Coordinating supply needs i.e. contest judges, meals, activities, and hospitality
• Working directly with Texas FFA Foundation staff on planning / execution
• Working with Texas FFA and ATAT staff on convention related activities, functions and operations

Students interested in agricultural education, communications, marketing, promotions and other relevant majors are encouraged to apply. The student will be asked to work either in Austin or in the host city.  The intern must be self-motivated and driven to accomplish tasks assigned.  The intern must be punctual and demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills.  Attention to details is a must.  The internship will require flexibility, personal initiative, customer service skills and professionalism.
The Texas FFA Foundation internship program is a two-year commitment which has proven to be a successful model.  Interns will serve as “junior” interns in their first year and then “senior” intern – leading the program – in their second year.
While not a prerequisite, students who have served as State FFA Officers, Foundation Ambassadors or Ford Leadership Scholars should note that experience when making application as it relates to the duties of this internship.
